Our company Eifel-Ardennen Parkett, which is now well-known far beyond Cologne and the region, was founded in 1986 as a one-man carpentry shop. In addition to floor coverings, our range of services also included the custom-made manufacture of furniture, stairs and doors from the very beginning. Our family business has now specialized in wooden floors such as mosaic parquet, strip parquet, industrial parquet and terrace boards.
Our entire range can be viewed at weekends in our very large sample exhibition covering 2,000 square metres in Bütgenbach in Belgium and in an exhibition area of 150 square metres in Aachen.

Multilayer parquet, formerly also called prefinished parquet. Multilayer parquet consists of 2 or 3 layers. The first is the so-called wear layer.
This wear layer made of the respective type of wood is often surface-treated and glued to one or more carrier layers made of cheaper softwood. Due to this multi-layer structure, multi-layer parquet hardly moves or shrinks and is therefore also very suitable for underfloor heating. Multi-layer parquet can be laid floating or glued over the entire surface. Multi-layer parquet is available in a plank look or a ship's deck look.
Plank floors are one of the oldest types of floor coverings. Parquet floors then developed from planks, which were no longer simply nailed together but interlocked with a milled tongue and groove. Modern, high-quality multi-layer planks made of solid wood such as oak, beech or maple offer some unbeatable advantages.

Multilayer parquet, formerly also called prefinished parquet. Multilayer parquet consists of 2 or 3 layers. The first is the so-called wear layer.
This wear layer made of the respective type of wood is often surface-treated and glued to one or more carrier layers made of cheaper softwood. Laying the floor in several layers is ideal, especially where it is important to reduce the movement of the wood and to have fewer joints. This is particularly true for floors in old buildings and floors with underfloor heating. The parquet or floorboards are glued to the subfloor in a robust and permanent manner. The adhesive is the connection between the screed or underfloor heating and the wooden floor. It conducts the heat and also serves as impact sound insulation. The innovative high-performance adhesives do not emit any fumes.
The parquet can be laid floating or fully glued.
Multilayer parquet is available in a plank look or a ship’s deck look.
